Marty Berk
We are deeply saddened at the loss of Marty Berk on January 2; IHFRA Executive Committee member, and long-time rep. This message is from his fiance, Tami Capriotti: “Sunday my dear, dear Marty lost his battle to ALS. It has been quite a 2-year battle but he fought because he wanted to live! We were planning on a good 2022 together. Unfortunately, he did get pneumonia again and his lungs were too damaged to recover. It was a rainy sad day but he was surrounded by love. He will be very, very missed. It is not often that late in life you find love, but Marty found me and we have had quite a romance. We were safe and happy in one another’s arms. He was a good man and my true love. Our families blended and he loved our family time. His sons, Jake and Noah, and 2 of my daughters, Alexandra and Miranda are with me now. We have planned the funeral for Monday 1/10 here in Stonington CT. Please message me if you like more details. Live each day to the fullest friends! Hug more, laugh often, cherish family and friends, look at life as a gift and enjoy life!!!” |
