FARMINGDALE, N.Y. — Four home furnishings retailers — in association with the Greater Metropolitan Furnishings Association — raised more than $210,000 to benefit the Dean Michael Clarizio Cancer Foundation, according to Artie Eisenberg, owner of all four stores and coordinator of this event.

Julius Erving, the basketball pro also known as Dr. J, was the keynote speaker at the Greater Metropolitan Furnishings Association fundraiser for the Dean Michael Clarizio Cancer Foundation.

Eisenberg, who owns Seigerman’s Furniture, Design Center, One Ten Home Furnishings, and The Showplace in Farmingdale, New York, said the Nov. 9 event also featured keynote speaker Julius Erving, better known by the nickname Dr. J, an American former professional basketball player.
